Chart Industries are hiring an Apprentice Training Coordinator, which is a unique and exciting opportunity for a time-served and skilled individual to utilise their skills and knowledge to pass onto a group of up to 20 apprentices spread over a 4 year in-house training programme. The role will be responsible for instructing and guiding new employees, apprentices and trainees, whilst assisting with the training of apprentices to achieve the required level of job performance and competency.

What will you do...
  • Lead the 4 year Apprentice Training Programme in HTO-UK.
  • Be the line manager and responsible person for up to 20 apprentices aged between 16-22.
  • Oversee their training programme and ensure participation and completion of required elements.
  • Have sufficient technical skill and knowledge to be able to safely teach the basic hand tool and simple machining skills for first year apprentices, progressing up to and including complex machining and programming.
  • Liaise with external training colleges and other institutions.
  • Operate recruitment and selection programme for new apprentice intake.
  • Manage the Apprentice development programme in house.

The role is based on site in Peterborough with an essential need to be visible and present. Some travel to recruitment fairs and events is required as is occasional out of hours working, which is fully expensed. This role may also require additional travel within the UK from time to time.

  • Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
