Position Overview:
As an Apprentice Transport Coordinator based in Gloucester, UK, you will be an integral part of our transport team, supporting operational logistics and ensuring smooth transportation processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in transportation management and contribute to global transport initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist in providing operational transportation support for inbound freight movements.
-Support internal and external transportation requests daily.
-Collaborate with carriers and manage day-to-day interactions.
-Monitor transportation activities and track shipments for timely delivery.
-Assist in booking and tracking shipments using various transportation modes.
-Provide transport visibility and tracking updates through reporting.
-Support with export bookings and intercompany movements.
-Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet customer needs.
-Support other areas of the Transportation Team as required.
Qualifications:
Full training will be provided, but looking for someone with the following;
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
-Good verbal and written communication skills
-Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
-Results-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team
-Interest in logistics management and willingness to learn
