Job summary

Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Poole invites applications for an Apprentice Therapeutic Radiographer. You will train to become a radiographer through a 3-year apprenticeship, leading to a BSc(Hons) Therapeutic Radiography upon completion, with study time allocated weekly.

You will work under supervision in the Radiotherapy Service at Poole Hospital and a satellite centre, learning modern techniques and contributing to patient care.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship lasting 3 years leading to a BSc(Hons) Therapeutic Radiography.
• End qualification: BSc degree in Therapeutic Radiography.
• Base location: Poole Hospital with a satellite centre in Dorset.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
• Participate in all shifts in the Radiotherapy department.
• Attend mandatory training and updates as per Trust policy.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Four days on-site (30 hours) per week with 1 day (7.5 hours) protected study time.
