Job summary

Vertu Ford Orpington is seeking an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our busy team. This role is ideal for an outgoing, motivated person with a passion for vehicle repair to grow their skills in a real workshop environment, working on light commercial vehicles.

The apprenticeship leads to a Manufacturer accredited Level 3 qualification in Automotive Repair, with training at the manufacturer training center that includes blocks of one week per module and occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE Maths/English and one other qualification (Grade 4/C or above).
• Manufacturer accredited qualification up to Level 3 in Automotive Repair will be undertaken during apprenticeship.
• Training occurs at the relevant Manufacturer training center with blocks of 1 week per module, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work and vehicle visual inspections.
• Complete relevant documentation and work with System Technicians on more complex diagnostics and repairs.
• Be a team player committed to customer service and brand values.

The successful applicant will get the amazing opportunity to develop their own skills in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair work, whilst working on some fantastic vehciles!
You will be working in a Light Commercial Vehicle workshop within a busy team environment, constantly representing the brand and its values by exceeding our customers expectations and delivering an unparalleled level of service and quality.

What is the role of an Apprentice Vehicle Technician?

You will be carrying out maintenance and repair work, visual inspections to customer vehicles. This will include completion of relevant documentation and working with System Technicians on more complex and extensive diagnostic and repair tasks.
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team. You must have a passion and interest in the motor industry, be a team player, have meticulous attention to detail and a dedicated and motivated mentality.

What Qualifications do you need?

• You must have a GCSE or equivalent in Maths/English and one other (Grade 4/C or above)

What training will you receive?

• All of our apprentices undertake a Manufacturer accredited qualification up to a Level 3 in Automotive Repair.
• Our training is held at the relevant Manufacturer training center and will involve blocks of 1 weeks attendance per module. This will involve overnight stays.
