Job summary

Vertu Ford Orpington is recruiting an Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for an outgoing, enthusiastic person with a passion for vehicle repair and a desire to develop skills across maintenance and repair tasks.

You will work in a Light Commercial Vehicle workshop, carrying out maintenance, visual inspections and assisting with diagnostics, while completing relevant documentation.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths/English and one other subject (Grade 4/C or above)
• Interest in the motor industry and a team player mindset
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in automotive repair

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work on customer vehicles
• Perform visual inspections and complete necessary documentation
• Assist with diagnostics alongside System Technicians on more complex tasks
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to ongoing training and development

The successful applicant will get the amazing opportunity to develop their own skills in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair work, whilst working on some fantastic vehciles!

You will be working in a Light Commercial Vehicle workshop within a busy team environment, constantly representing the brand and its values by exceeding our customers expectations and delivering an unparalleled level of service and quality.

What is the role of an Apprentice Vehicle Technician?

You will be carrying out maintenance and repair work, visual inspections to customer vehicles. This will include completion of relevant documentation and working with System Technicians on more complex and extensive diagnostic and repair tasks.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team. You must have a passion and interest in the motor industry, be a team player, have meticulous attention to detail and a dedicated and motivated mentality.

What Qualifications do you need?

• You must have a GCSE or equivalent inMaths/English and one other (Grade 4/C or above)

What training will you receive?

• All of our apprentices undertake a Manufacturer accredited qualification up to a Level 3 in Automotive Repair.
• Our training is held at the relevant Manufacturer training center and will involve blocks of 1 weeks attendance per module. This will involve overnight stays.
