Lloyd BMW and MINI North Tyneside – Apprentice Technician - Newcastle

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to kick start your career working with one of the most prestigious automotive brands.

Type: Permanent, Full Time, Monday to Friday

The Role:

Technicians are skilled in all aspects of car mechanics and electronics, including engine and exhaust systems, air conditioning, and security features. Responsibilities include:

1. Servicing vehicles by performing checks and maintenance according to manufacturer instructions.
2. Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components.
3. Advising Service Receptionists on required repairs.
4. Maintaining repair and service records.
5. Investigating reported issues using diagnostic tools and seeking guidance from senior staff.
6. Developing and understanding warranty documentation.

Qualification:

• Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician

Training:

• Off-the-job training at the Manufacturer's Training Centre, including workshops and classroom learning over three years.
• Comprehensive EV training for Hybrid and Electric vehicles to ensure safe and competent work practices.

Applicant Requirements:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) with grades 4 or above in English, Maths, and two other subjects.
• Team player, dependable, punctual, and able to operate under pressure.
