Job description

As a Front of House Apprentice, you will be the face of our restaurant, responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience from the moment guests arrive. You will learn key hospitality skills including communication, service etiquette, and teamwork, all while developing confidence in a fine dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greeting and Seating Guests: Welcome customers warmly, manage reservations, and guide guests to their tables in a polite and professional manner.
• Customer Service: Provide a detailed description of the tasting menu options, and ensure guests have everything they need during their visit.
• Serving Food and Drinks: Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation standards and hygiene practices are followed.
• Table Maintenance: Clear tables, reset them efficiently, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Handling Payments: Process customer bills using a POS system, manage cash/card transactions, and ensure accuracy.
• Teamwork: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and excellent guest experiences.
• Health & Safety: Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards in line with restaurant policies.
• Learning and Development: Attend training sessions, complete coursework on time, and take feedback constructively to grow your skills


Training

College attendance once a fortnight & College assignments every other week
Skills officer visits to work place every 6-8 weeks
Full training and mentorship from experienced staff
A Supportive learning environment

Qualifications required
Ideally Maths and English GCSE 4/C or above.

If lower than this, will need to enrol onto functional skills alongside course.
