Join Our Growing Team at Little London Academy

Within the GORSE Academies Trust, we are passionate about ensuring that all children excel—regardless of their background or additional needs. We are incredibly proud to introduce Little London Bridge, our newest Resource Provision for children with Autism and/or Complex Communication Needs, which opened in January 2025.

Little London Bridge joins our existing, highly regarded provisions—Rainbow Base and Horizons—which together support over 70 primary and secondary students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This new provision will benefit from the extensive expertise available across our trust while establishing its own identity within the vibrant Little London community.

As part of this exciting development, Little London Academy are seeking to recruit an inspirational Apprentice Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will work under the direct instruction of teaching and senior staff within the Little London Bridge Resource Provision.

About The Role

This is a vital role within our academy, where the successful candidate will work under the guidance of teaching and senior staff – typically in a classroom setting -to support pupils’ access to learning and assist in classroom management.

Apprenticeship Summary

What you will do in your working day

• Support students in their learning.
• Build positive relationships and act as a role model.
• Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students.
• Encourage student independence and engagement.
• Assist in classroom preparation and general administrative tasks.
• Monitor student progress and promote positive learning experiences.
• Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection procedures.
• Participate in training, development, and team activities.
• Supervise students during non-classroom times (e.g. lunch, trips).
• Undertake any other duties relevant to the role of Apprentice Teaching Assistant, as required by the academy.
  
  

About Us

Little London Academy became part of The GORSE Academies Trust in February 2024. We are proud of our inclusive, joyful school where pupils are encouraged to grow into responsible, thoughtful members of society. Our aim is for every child to enjoy their time at school while developing resilience, a love of learning, and a spirit of perseverance.

Little London Bridge will grow over the next three years into a provision for 40 primary-aged pupils with EHCPs related to Autism and Complex Communication Needs. Our facilities include multiple teaching spaces, a purpose-built outdoor area, and both a sensory room and sensory integration space.

This provision is a significant and much-needed addition to specialist education in the local area, and we’re incredibly excited about the future.

Qualification: Teaching Assistant Level 3 or Early Years Educator Level 3
