Job summary

Awel y Mor Primary School is offering an exciting Apprenticeship Teaching Assistant position. You will gain hands-on classroom experience while working towards a Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools over 15 months.

The role includes supporting children, preparing materials, and tracking progress, with DBS checks and Welsh language considerations in place. Fixed-term, 15 months, 16 hours per week, with year-by-year wage progression.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm about working with children.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• GCSE English & Maths at grade D or above (or working towards).

Responsibilities

• Support children in the classroom.
• Assist with setting up the classroom and resources.
• Assist with planning learning activities and materials.
• Implement individual learning programs.
• Keep accurate records and track student progress.
