Qualifications

  • A range of Level 3 qualifications including A Levels and BTECs are required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the site manager in maintaining site progress according to the contract.
  • Oversee work elements as directed to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Attend site meetings and provide information for progress reports.

Job description

Bouygues UK are offering an Apprenticeship in Site Management. Joining us on a new project in Exeter. This would be a great opportunity to see a project through from the cradle to the grave, giving you a wonderful learning experience and building a strong foundation for your construction career.


Education Criteria:
  1. A Level DD
  2. BTEC National Diploma PPP
  3. Access to HE Diploma with 21 Merits
  4. Level 3 Apprenticeship in related subject
  5. Equivalent Level 3 Qualifications Worth 64 UCAS Points
  6. 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English (C or above) or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)
Essential Skill set:
  1. Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  2. Willingness to work outside normal working hours to complete university work/further learning
  3. Interest in the Construction industry
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
  6. Attention to detail
Job Purpose and Scope
  1. Assist the site manager in maintaining progress on site in accordance with the contract programme
  2. Oversee elements of work as directed by the site manager to ensure safe execution
  3. Attend site meetings if requested
  4. Provide information for Progress Reports if requested
  5. Assist the Site Manager to prepare for each element of the works an Inspection and Test Plan and ensure its requirements are achieved
  6. Assist in ensuring that all work is executed in accordance with the latest information
  7. Ensure work/materials not achieving the required standard are monitored and reported to the Site Manager
  8. Become fully conversant and comply with the Company Health and Safety Policy
