The Service department handles service and maintenance of wind farms across the UK and Ireland. We promote an open, informal culture emphasizing teamwork and communication. You will gain industry knowledge by working on wind turbines, performing maintenance, repairs, and other field tasks, always adhering to safety and environmental standards. As an apprentice, you will collaborate across teams, gaining valuable experience and mentorship from seasoned colleagues.

Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to Vestas' health & safety, quality, and operational procedures
  2. Complete a 2-year HND electrical engineering course at college
  3. Work at various wind farm locations with service teams
  4. Complete Vestas qualification & authorization workbook
  5. Perform maintenance and service of electrical and mechanical systems
  6. Collaborate with support functions and colleagues
  7. Conduct periodic service inspections and component replacements
Qualifications
  • Higher qualifications in Math, Physics, or Engineering Science (preferably)
  • National 5 qualifications in core subjects (grades 5-9)
  • Scottish National qualification (for funding eligibility)
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Driving license category B
  • Ability to work at heights up to 100 meters and in adverse weather
  • Interest in mechanical/electrical principles and eagerness to learn
  • Good time management and safety awareness
  • Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Effective task management and proactive attitude
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Support-seeking problem solver
