SLD Pumps & Power (Carrier’s company), one of the UK's leading suppliers of pumps and generator rental equipment, is hiring Mechanical Engineer – Apprentice in our depot in Plymouth. The main goal of this role is to learn how to diagnose and repair our hire equipment to support our team in the depot or on customers’ sites.

What will you be doing?

On-the-job training with your mentor, learning how to:

  1. Assist in the service and repair of various types of pumps
  2. Service off-hired equipment ready for re-hire
  3. Adhere to all Health and Safety Procedures
  4. Assist with loading and unloading equipment onto external transport trucks
