Job summary

Superdrug is offering an Apprenticeship Sales Assistant in Leek, Staffordshire. You'll work 39 hours a week across flexible shifts, learning on the shop floor while helping customers and keeping the store well stocked.

You'll receive hands-on training in-store for the Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship, with progression paths into leadership roles as you grow with the team at Superdrug. The role pays £9.75 per hour and includes extensive training, discounts, and advances in your retail career.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or equivalent.
• Not currently in education and available for full-time shifts.
• No Retail Apprenticeship completed before.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Brand new to retail.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers with a smile and share our Star Buys.
• Keep the store well stocked and presentable, hitting targets.
• Support training towards Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship in-store.
• Progress with the team into leadership roles over time.

As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you’ll be right at the heart of the action—serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great!

You’ll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets.

It’s a hands‑on, fast‑paced role that’s never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we’ll give you everything you need to grow—with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress.

Your training will take place in‑store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship

You qualify if…

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4’s for Scotland)
• You are not currently in any form of education, and you are available for full time shifts
• You HAVEN’T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail
