Overview

MTC Training is a multi-award-winning Independent Training Provider delivering high quality engineering apprenticeships and upskilling training courses.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule and conduct 10 weekly reviews for apprentices.
  • Support an outstanding enrichment programme, monitor learner progress reviews and communicate with employers to support wellbeing.
  • Ensure consistent high quality training provision that meets and exceeds internal and external monitoring requirements (ESFA, Ofsted, Matrix, internal and external quality processes and audits).
  • Part-time or job-share applications are welcome.
  • Health and safety support for learners and the facility through proactive leadership.
  • Manage learner administration and data: creation of new learner records, input of review data and assessments, certificates, updating learner systems in line with ESFA and MTC processes.
  • Day-to-day management of learners including behavioural management, safeguarding, pastoral care and mentoring/coaching of all apprentices.
  • Coordinate internal and external on-programme learners, including course reviews (apprentices), regular communication, and addressing learner issues.
  • Work to achieve at least a 'good' rating from Ofsted inspections.
  • Promote adherence to key policies (equality and diversity, safeguarding, bullying and harassment, discrimination) among learners.
  • Any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Knowledge
  • IT literate including Microsoft 365 Office packages (Word, PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
  • Understanding and experience of using e-portfolios (ideally Smart Assessor) would be highly advantageous.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest industry information.
  • Awareness of changes in legislation and apprenticeship standards.
  • Awareness of changes in regard to Awarding Organisations.
  • Experience of using a Learner Management System or willingness to upskill.
Qualification
  • Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSEs in Maths and English grade C or above.
  • Experience in a management/leadership role with learners.
  • Understanding of LMS and prior knowledge of Pro Monitor, Pro Solution and Smart Assessor.
