A healthcare institution in the UK is looking for an Apprentice Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician. You will be involved in various pharmacy operations, including dispensing prescriptions and managing medicines. Ideal candidates are self-motivated with excellent communication skills and must complete a BTEC Level 3 Diploma. Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technicians are essential to the continued development of the Pharmacy team at North Devon District Hospital. Applicants should be enthusiastic, hard‑working, self‑motivated and possess good written and verbal communication skills. The role requires completion of the nationally recognised BTEC Level 3 Diploma in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Technicians, achieved through virtual guided learning provided by Bradford College alongside workplace training. A practice supervisor will be allocated for each workplace rotation and the overall educational supervisor will manage the training programme.
This contract offers a 37.5‑hour per week working pattern, including one day per week virtual guided learning. Working hours include weekends, late‑night and bank‑holiday hours as requested. The salary for Year 1 is £24,465 (Band 2) and for Year 2 is £24,937 (Band 3). The role includes 27 days paid annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 33 days plus bank holidays.
