This is a 39 hours per week, temporary vacancy that will close in 7 days at 12:00 BST.

The role
  • Hours: 39 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
  • Locations: Magna sites across Somerset.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Plumber to join our dedicated Building Safety and Compliance team. At Magna, our vision is to create great homes together. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills and advance your career in Plumbing and Heating as an Apprentice Plumber – Level 3. Under supervision from experienced professionals, you will gain hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing Plumbing and Heating Systems in areas such as:

  • Installation: Learn to install and service heating systems.
  • Repairs: Carry out day-to-day repairs, including fault finding and troubleshooting.
  • Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test installations, ensure safety and compliance standards are met, and complete relevant certification.
  • College Training: Attend a day release programme at a local college to enhance your theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Safety Training: Receive training in a safe environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships within a support network, building confidence and skills.

What you need to be successful:

  • Ability to communicate professionally, follow directions, and eagerness to learn.
  • Self-driven with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, at C/4 grade or above.
