Job description

SMS Environmental is looking to hire an Apprentice Plumber to work within the Oxford and Reading areas. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring plumber to gain practical work experience along with the ability to earn qualifications along the way.

A current driving license is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
• Clear CRB/DBS Disclosure
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team or as a lone worker
• Good listening skills – with the ability to absorb and follow all information
• Ability to learn and develop new skills on the job in order to complete tasks effectively
• IT knowledge – to use iPad technology and Opuz systems effectively
• Attend site in a timely manner in line with client and team requirements
• Maintain good standards of personal appearance and cleanliness
• Keep van tidy and drive with respect and courtesy for other road users
• Develop and maintain skills levels as required by SMS
• Assist in carrying out all plumbing tasks as scheduled in conjunction with SMS Method Statements
• Ensure all tasks are carried out with due regard for health and safety guidelines
• Know when to request help and guidance with work-related issues
• Complete tasks accurately using Opuz (Internal System) and provide all relevant information
