Job summary

Impact Futures is offering an Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant position to support daily pharmacy operations while completing the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship.

You will gain hands-on experience in dispensing, stock control, customer service, and NHS prescription processing under the supervision of qualified pharmacy staff. The programme includes regular training with a college or training organisation and a clear progression path to the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and commitment to completing the apprenticeship programme.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing and processing NHS and private prescriptions.
• Support stock management and inventory, including expiry date checks.
• Provide customer service and health advice under supervision.
• Prepare Monitored Dosage Systems (MDS) and care home support.
• Operate till and maintain cleanliness in retail and dispensary areas.
