Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Middlesbrough is seeking an Apprentice Painter & Decorator to learn a skilled trade while earning a salary. This permanent, full-time apprenticeship offers on-the-job training across a range of projects and the chance to progress toward a recognised Painting & Decorating qualification.

You'll work 39 hours a week at a pay rate of £8.00 per hour, gaining hands-on experience with decorating techniques, safety practices, and customer service.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while working towards a recognised Painting & Decorating qualification. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, learning all aspects of the trade across a variety of projects throughout the region.

What You'll Be Doing

• Internal and external painting and decorating works.
• Preparing surfaces, including sanding, filling and minor repair works.
• Learning how to use painting and decorating tools, materials and equipment safely and effectively.
• Assisting with the erection and use of access equipment following appropriate training.
• Setting up access plant, protective coverings and temporary screening where required.
• Maintaining decorating materials and equipment to ensure efficient working practices.
• Delivering high‑quality workmanship while meeting customer expectations.
• Working safely and following all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
