Apprenticeship Description

As an Office Assistant Apprentice, you will support the daily operations of the office, learn vital administrative skills, and contribute to the smooth running of the business. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognized Business Administration qualification.

The role involves supporting various parts of the organization and interacting with internal and external customers. By focusing on adding value, the Office Assistant contributes to organizational efficiency through support of functional areas, teamwork, and issue resolution. The role's flexibility allows the apprentice to develop a broad skill set.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, booking rooms, and managing calendars
  • Support the events team with organizing internal and external events
  • Make travel arrangements as needed
  • Support other administrative tasks as required
  • Assist in organizing work experience placements
  • Participate in Community Relations calls and ensure global actions are communicated locally
  • Support charity fundraising initiatives
  • Assist in bi-monthly induction days
Skills and Abilities
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and eager to learn
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Professional attitude and willingness to take on new challenges
Education and/or Experience
  • A good standard of education (GCSEs or equivalent)
  • Previous office experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided
