Job summary

Clearline Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join a welcoming nursery in Peacehaven, East Sussex. This role combines on-the-job training with a nationally recognised Early Years qualification, and is supported by experienced mentors to build your childcare career.

You will enrol on an Early Years Apprenticeship (Level 2 or Level 3) and gain hands-on experience with children while studying.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for working with young children.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to completing your Early Years apprenticeship.
• No previous childcare experience required.

Responsibilities

• Help create a warm, safe and engaging environment for children.
• Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities.
• Encourage children's learning, development and independence.
• Work alongside experienced Nursery Practitioners and learn best practices in childcare.
• Support children with their daily routines, including mealtimes, playtime and sleep.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support the wider nursery team with the day-to-day running of the setting.
