An international law firm is currently seeking an apprentice to assist with their IT networks.

The role is within the infrastructure team, responsible for delivering reliable, secure network infrastructure and connectivity across the firm’s global offices. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with enterprise network technology, engage with key stakeholders, and develop new skills.

Duties

  • Configure and install network hardware including switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Monitor and review network infrastructure to ensure operational uptime and effectiveness
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and diagrams of network architecture and procedures
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform audits
  • Provide technical support to local IT teams and assist with network-related inquiries
  • Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on network equipment
  • Respond to security incidents to protect network integrity
  • Deploy and maintain virtual network infrastructure in cloud environments
  • Administer server environments including DHCP, DNS, and virtualization

About you

To become an Apprentice Network Engineer, you should be a tech enthusiast with at least 5 GCSEs (ideally A*–C, 4–9) including Maths and English.

This 21-month apprenticeship offers a salary of £26,000 per year.

You will gain internationally recognised Level 4 IT qualifications during your training.
