About the role
  • Participate in academic and vocational training during the apprenticeship, leading to an Engineering Maintenance Apprenticeship with Level 3 Diploma and Level 4 Certificate (HNC).
  • Perform planned preventive and reactive maintenance on all production building equipment and systems, including fault finding, problem solving, and minor repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Complete maintenance records accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure availability and stock-holding of commonly used or long lead-time spare parts.
  • Requisition and collect store materials as needed.
  • Carry out work following prescribed processes, such as Safe Systems of Work, to minimize risks.
  • Review and suggest improvements for processes, procedures, and systems within your area.
  • Report major breakdowns, significant problems, repair needs, delays, or system downtime to relevant personnel timely.
  • Perform other reasonable duties or project work as required by management.
  • Work towards the Mechatronics Maintenance Pathway.
  • The above tasks are typical; other duties of similar nature may be assigned.
