We deliver essential infrastructure services for life, prioritizing safety, client and customer satisfaction, in a friendly, fun, and respectful environment that encourages you to thrive.

Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard water supply, improve environmental performance, and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. With over 140 years of combined experience, we are problem solvers in engineering and infrastructure.

This role is within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our experts in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) offer comprehensive solutions, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.

Want to be a part of it?

If you are interested in STEM subjects and want to work across multiple industry sectors within an engineering-focused organization, this M-Group Water Apprenticeship Scheme is the right step towards a career that provides vocational and further education qualifications in the MEICA fields.

M-Group Water provides maintenance and project delivery services across Water, Energy, and Transport sectors, as well as adjacent markets like chemical and pharmaceutical engineering. This is a fantastic opportunity for future engineers to develop practical skills and solve real-world problems in the STEM environment.

What will you be doing?

Year 1: Full-time (3 days a week) at our training provider’s center in South East England, working towards the Level 2 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard. You will learn hand skills in electrical, electronic, and mechanical disciplines, and complete assessments to achieve Level 2. You will also undertake a Level 3 diploma in Engineering through day release, covering core subjects like maths, science, and first principles. Additionally, you will spend one day a week at Z-Tech working alongside experienced technicians and engineers.

Year 2: Begin the Level 3 part of the apprenticeship in mechanical, electrical, or control & instrumentation (MEICA). This will be conducted at the workplace, assessed on-site, while continuing your diploma studies through day release.

Years 3 and 4: Continue the Level 3 apprenticeship, completing assessments and achieving sign-off. During this period, there may be an opportunity to pursue a Level 4 HNC diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
