Job description

Apprentice Learning Support Assistant (Fixed Term Contact, 12-15 months for duration of apprenticeship)

Monday to Friday, 32.5 hours, 39 weeks per year (term time only)

Salary: National Minimum Wage for Apprenticeships

Governors seek to appoint an Apprentice Learning Support Assistant (required September 2025)

Essential:

  • Grades A-C/4 or above or Level 2 in English and Maths
  • An interest in training as a Learning Support assistant and working with pupils within a SEN setting
  • A commitment to undertaking NVQ Level 2 TLSA or NVQ 3 TLSA through SMBC nominated learning provider
  • Some previous experience of working with children in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
