Upon successful completion of the Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship, you’ll progress into a Level 2b Technical and Experimental (TAE) role at the University.

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, pay will be the lowest spine point of Level 2b, which is Spine Point 17, £26,942 full-time equivalent. In year one, pay will be 60% of this, increasing to 70% in year two, and 80% in year three. All apprentices will receive at least the applicable National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage rate for their age, where this exceeds the contractual provisions.
