Summary

Our client, a large Lloyds Insurance Broker, has an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Broker to join their growing Management Risk team in London. The purpose of the role is to service the insurance needs of customers, ensuring that documents are obtained and dispatched promptly, and all issues are dealt with quickly and effectively.

Main Duties:

  • Support management and colleagues throughout the company
  • Achieve a thorough understanding of insurance basics, principles, and the broking market
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and handle all inquiries professionally
  • Deal with client inquiries
  • Communicate via telephone and email with clients, insurers, third parties, and others
  • Generate correspondence to clients, insurers, and third parties
  • Notify insurers of changes and new cover issued
  • Obtain and submit completed client documentation promptly
  • Process, check, and dispatch policy documentation to clients
  • Process mid-term adjustments
  • Issue renewal review notices and documentation
  • Update records following changes to risk details
  • Pursue and secure outstanding renewal premiums
  • Create new policy records for new risks

Key Skills Required:

  • On target or completed 3 A-Levels or equivalent (Grade C or above)
  • At least 5 GCSEs (grade C or above)
  • Strong IT skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Ability to work within a team or individually
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
