Job Description

The ICT Apprentice role requires a proactive self-starter who is familiar with modern technology to work alongside the Service Management Teams within the Staff Moorlands and High Peak District Council offices.

The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to both internal and external clients and ensure effective management and supervision of technology.

You may work with physical hardware in-person and on-site, or remotely with cloud-based virtual software and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers remotely and/or face-to-face
  • Establish and diagnose technical problems and faults
  • Apply security policies in line with organizational requirements
  • Communicate with stakeholders to resolve issues
  • Use tools and technologies to resolve technical issues
  • Document and escalate tasks for clear audit trails
  • Support technicians with resolving system user queries and faults in a helpdesk environment
  • Potential roles include Help Desk Support, Office IT Technician, IT Support Officer, Data Centre Support Technician, Cyber/Security Support
Qualifications:
  • High attention to detail with problem-solving skills
  • Enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and team spirit
  • Open to learning new ideas
  • Confident in using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent grammatical and communication skills, able to communicate confidently at all levels
