Job summary

Saputo Dairy UK is hiring an HR & Payroll Apprentice at our Weybridge, Surrey headquarters. You will gain hands-on experience across HR services and payroll while pursuing professional qualifications (CIPP/CIPD) in a supportive environment within Saputo’s UK business.

You’ll work with experienced teams delivering essential HR and payroll processes. You’ll develop foundational HR skills, experience confidential data handling, and contribute to payroll-related tasks, benefits, and employee records

Qualifications

• Aspiring HR professional; committed to completing required training (CIPP/CIPD).
• Willing to undertake hands-on HR and payroll duties across the employee lifecycle.
• Good numerical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Basic MS Office knowledge, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the whole employee lifecycle.
• Support monthly payroll, expenses and third-party payment processes.
• Keep employee records up to date on HR systems.
• Answer HR and payroll queries with support from experienced colleagues.

YOU'LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

• Building your skills through training, coaching, job shadowing and regular feedback
• Providing administrative support for the whole employee lifecycle
• Handling personal and business information with care, confidentiality and discretion
• Supporting monthly payroll, expenses and third-party payment processes
• Keeping employee records up to date on our HR systems
• Responding to HR and payroll queries, with support from experienced colleagues when needed
• Supporting projects and gaining experience of specialist areas including compensation & benefits, and employee relations

• Are able to follow procedures, learn from feedback, ask questions and recognise when support or escalation is needed
• Have a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with willingness to build more advanced skills and confidence with data

Desirable but not essential: Previous experience in an office, administration or customer service environment Prior exposure to payroll, HR, finance or shared services An interest in using data to identify trends, answer questions and support evidence-based recommendations
