Housing Management Coordinator with Apprenticeship
West Yorkshire, Huddersfield, Batley
Permanent, full Time (37.5 hpw), Monday to Friday
Pay £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team here in West Yorkshire. As our Housing and Property Guru, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service doing an apprenticeship alongside it.

Typical day as a Housing Management Coordinator

1. Customer group - Homeless
2. Making sure that our customers' properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
3. Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
4. Where there is a need, you’ll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.
5. Getting rooms ready for the next customers who need our help and for maximum occupancy, you’ll turn around vacant or void rooms / bed spaces / properties within set timescales.
6. Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.

You bring

1. Enthusiasm in housing and overseeing landlord and housing management duties.
2. Enthusiasm of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
3. The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
4. A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
5. Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must hold at least GCSE grade D-G or 4-1 (A-C or 9-4 is preferred though!).

Job details

1. Flexible working hours (or we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you).
2. Manage your own diary.
3. Based at our services in Huddersfield and Batley you’ll spend your time around the properties.
4. Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy sign ups.
5. You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
