• Starting salary of £7.55 per hour. After completion of your first year, your salary will increase in line with the National Minimum Wage.

• Dedicated Training Day: Delivered by our Academy Trainer, James Avison, the training day allows you to continuously develop your skills while on the job. One day per week will be dedicated to training, held at our Dartford depot. For those travelling a distance, hotel accommodation will be provided one night per week near to the Academy.

Apprenticeship Details:

• Duration: 24 months
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (40 hours per week) including 1 hour lunch break
• Location: Welham Green
• Qualification: Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance
• Positions Available: 2

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and solve problems efficiently.
• Strong communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Physical capability to perform hands-on tasks.
• GCSE qualifications in Mathematics and English (Grades 9-4 / A-C) is desirable but not essential. For the right candidate we can offer help to pass a level 3 in functional skills for Mathematics and English.
• Most importantly, a genuine passion for vehicle engineering.

SAGA Academy Recruitment Process:

• Applications will close Sunday 1st June 2025.
• If successful, you will be invited to an Assessment Day held in June.
• One week of Work Experience to commence in July.
• Workshop start date in August.
• College start date in September.

Assessment Day:

We will be holding two sessions at the Welham Green site and 4 sessions at the Dartford site. The dates for this day is the 18th, 19th and 20th of June. The day will be used to help assess your practical skills and knowledge as well as your ability to work as a team. But don't worry, none of the tasks are too difficult, they are designed to help us understand what level of knowledge you already have for our industry.
