Job summary

A leading mining company is offering a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship starting January 2026. This role provides hands-on training in maintaining and troubleshooting mining equipment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for learning, completed Year 12 including Maths, and a WA Manual Driver’s License. Qualifications

• A genuine passion for learning about the heavy diesel fitting trade and a can-do attitude.
• Completed or completing your Year 12 Certification including Maths.
• Good communication skills and basic computer skills are required.
• Must have a WA Manual Driver’s License or be able to obtain one prior to January 2026.
• Certificate II Pre-Apprenticeship and First Aid Cert are advantageous but not essential.

What you will be doing?

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice, you’ll work closely with the Maintenance crew to gain all the skills you need through on-the-job training and formal TAFE classes. You’ll learn how to maintain and troubleshoot mining equipment to minimise downtime, help keep our sites safe, clean and running smoothly, and grow your expertise in a rewarding, hands-on environment.
