Job summary

Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for Apprentice Healthcare Support Workers. The 18-month full-time fixed-term contract may lead to a permanent position; interviews are scheduled for late October/early November. You must be 18+, UK resident for 3 years, and have GCSE English and Maths.

Training includes a Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship and BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Care. Placement could be at Calderdale Royal Hospital or Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, with a

Qualifications

• Must be aged 18 or over on start date and resident in the UK for 3 years.
• Demonstrate a genuine interest in caring for people.
• No degree higher in a health-related subject.
• Must not have significant Healthcare Experience.
• Provide English and Maths GCSE certificates at interview.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients as part of the clinical team.
• Assist with nutritional needs and monitor patients' health and well-being.
• Support procedures and communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Work in rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
