Job summary

Compass Group UK is recruiting an Apprentice Supervisor for a healthcare catering environment in Southend-on-Sea. You will join a supportive team, working full-time on a 35-hour week, with progression to Level 3 Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship or Level 3 Operations Team Leader Apprenticeship.

You will gain hands-on experience, undergo structured training, and earn a nationally recognised qualification upon completion, while contributing to excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Candidates aged 18+ and willing to undergo a DBS check.
• Enthusiastic and capable of delivering excellent customer service.
• Interest in progressing through a healthcare catering apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager with daily restaurant operations
• Supervise and support a front-of-house team of up to 7 employees
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve enquiries
• Monitor food and beverage service to maintain quality
• Assist with opening/closing procedures, cash handling and reporting
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety policies
• Train and develop team members
• Support stock control and inventory management
