Wycombe Abbey School is looking for an Apprentice Groundsman for a full-time, fixed-term role. The candidate will maintain the extensive grounds and gardens throughout the year, with one day release per week for training at Berkshire College. This role supports a vibrant school environment committed to growth and community wellbeing.
Wycombe Abbey seeks to appoint an Apprentice Groundsman to undertake the upkeep and maintenance of the School’s grounds and gardens.
Contract: Full-time, fixed-term contract for one to four years.
Hours of Work: 7:30am – 3:45pm, Monday to Friday, plus every third Saturday from 7:30am – 12:30pm, 52 weeks per year. Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break daily. Flexible hours may be required for special occasions or weather-related demands, including weekends.
Weekly hours include one-day release per week at Berkshire College of Agriculture (BCA) during term time.
Salary: National minimum wage, dependent on age: £14,722.50 per annum (£7.55/hour for 16-17 years), £19,500 per annum (£10.00/hour for 18-20 years), £23,809.50 (£12.21/hour for 21+).
