Job description

Are you looking to kick start a career as a Gas Engineer? Are you based near Bridgwater, Somerset? We are looking for a gas apprentice to work on a 24 month fixed term basis, working 40 hours per week. The salary is based upon the Minimum for apprentices.

Your Role:

Attend training and work toward your craft qualification

Assist with repairs, servicing, and appliance installation to industry standards

Communicate with clients to arrange and carry out work

Leave homes clean and safe, collecting tenant signatures after jobs

Support colleagues and build relationships across the business

Safely operate tools, machinery, and vehicles

Keep accurate records of work and materials used

Follow safety procedures, including reporting hazards like asbestos

Complete paperwork accurately and ensure customer satisfaction

Work flexibly, including out-of-hours if needed, and follow all health and safety guidelines

What We Need from You.

Have a genuine interest in working in Gas Engineering

Have a GCSE or equivalent standard in Maths and English (grade 4 and above)

Have a positive approach to completing relevant courses and qualifications

Flexibility and a positive attitude towards varied work and schedules

Excellent customer service skills and punctuality

Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational and planning skills
