Contract Type: 2 year Apprenticeship

Hours: 39 per week (annualised for seasonal variations)

Salary: Minimum of National Living Wage £12.21

This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to become part of our Grounds Maintenance Team.

Enveco is looking for reliable individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Gardener/Grounds Person.

You will be working as part of the Grounds Maintenance team throughout Blackpool’s Parks & Green Open Spaces including Grade II Listed Stanley Park.

This is a rewarding opportunity to train and develop a career in horticulture and sports turf maintenance.

You will learn a wide range of skills within the industry at a practical level and also incorporated is a fully funded Level 2 Apprenticeship in Horticulture – to be attained through the industry leading Myerscough College.

About you

• GCSE/NVQ 2 or equivalent qualification in English and Maths
• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, including, ability to read written instructions, ability to understand verbal instructions, ability to communicate verbally with colleagues and customers
• Ability to undertake basic arithmetical calculations such as addition, subtraction and division
• Ability to undertake manual work and learn skills
• Ability to learn and benefit from training
• An ability to deal with members of the public in a polite and courteous manner
• An ability to work as part of a team
• Able to undertake manual work in all weather conditions
• Ability to undertake duties in a physical role
