A significant healthcare provider in Milton Keynes is seeking an Apprentice Financial Accountant. This is a full-time position offering £14,722 per annum. The successful candidate will partake in an AAT Diploma in Accounting while gaining valuable on-the-job experience. Candidates should be 16 or older and have GCSE qualifications in Maths and English. This position also encompasses excellent training opportunities and potential for permanent placement post-apprenticeship.

The Finance Team is looking for an apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting role within the team and one that will be extremely rewarding for the right candidate.
This is a fabulous opportunity to undertake an Assistant Account Level 2 Apprenticeship whilst learning many key 'on the job' skills. Your role will often be the first point of contact for our staff, so you'll need the right interpersonal skills and a drive to deliver excellent levels of customer service. You'll need excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build and sustain good relationships in and outside the hospital; good attention to detail and computer literacy.

The Finance Team has two arms with approximately 30 team members: Financial Services, covering areas such as capital, charity, subsidiary, accounts payable/receivable, treasury, governance and statutory returns; and Financial Management, covering areas such as divisional business partnering, income, costing and system reporting.
The Apprenticeship programme will be delivered by our external NHS approved training provider. You will take part in interactive workshops and be assigned a tutor to support you throughout the programme as well as receiving support from the MKUH Apprenticeship Team. Alongside your apprenticeship studies, you will also complete an AAT Diploma in Accounting qualification.

Apprenticeship roles at MKUH are Fixed Term for the duration of the training. For this role, the Term is 18 months. For the first 12 months of the apprenticeship, you will be paid the national apprentice wage and then vs age from months 13 to 18. Upon successful completion of the training, a permanent role may be offered, subject to your performance during the apprenticeship, and MKUH resource requirements at the time.
