Inco Contracts is offering an apprenticeship for an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor where you will gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. This role includes supporting experienced professionals while learning about estimating and quantity surveying tasks. The apprenticeship duration typically ranges from 3 to 5 years, with training requirements for industry qualifications. We're looking for motivated individuals with strong communication skills, a problem-solving attitude, and a commitment to developing practical skills in construction.

As an Apprentice Estimator/Quantity Surveyor, you'll learn both roles as an estimator and QS but also be part of the overall construction team.

The Role
General
Be involved in everything from estimating, tenders, contracts, commercial reporting and meeting with clients, contractors and customers. Be part of a well-established, driven, high performing team.
To communicate, influence and work well with clients, contractors and suppliers as well as a wider variety of teams across the company internally and externally. Help where required other departments and ensure the company ethos is maintained at all points

A bit more about the role
Dependant on your qualifications, will depend on how long the apprenticeship is. This typically can be between 3-5 years. Depending on candidate experience, the apprentice would be required to attend college to undertake HNC/HND, move onto university to undertake a QS degree and must achieve a minimum Upper Second-Class Honours 2:1. The apprentice must stay for a minimum 2 year's post successful completion of their apprenticeship or would be required to pay the tuition fee's back to Inco Contracts.
You will be expected to support either a Senior Estimator or a Senior Quantity Surveyor throughout the duration of your apprenticeship. Following an agreed period in the dual role, we would discuss moving you into your preferred role to either be a full-time estimator or full-time QS, however where required you will be expected to assist in the other role as the company requires.
What we're looking for
We're looking for someone keen to gain hands-on experience, develop practical skills, driven to progress their career and achieve the standards needed to succeed in this role.
If you've got great communication skills, an eye for organisation and are a great problem solver, this apprenticeship could be right up your street.
You'll need to have:
A Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, grades A-C or grades 9-4, which must include Maths, English and a Science or Technology subject.
Depending on apprenticeship level, to also include a Level 3 qualification (A-levels, apprenticeship or BTEC etc), HNC in Construction or equivalent qualifications and commensurate industry experience.
Additional Information
During your apprenticeship, you will need to travel to your place of study, office and sites.
You will be required to be mobile in this role and are expected to have a full clean driver's license and vehicle for travel. Company car/allowance will be reviewed at 2 years in the role.
