Job Description:

We are hiring Apprentice Lift Engineers for our next generation. A full-time apprenticeship with Schindler involves experience rotations across our business following a 42-month structured programme, covering Service and Maintenance, New Installations, Modernisation, Repairs, and Escalators. This program allows apprentices to develop skills in all aspects of our business. We are specifically recruiting an Escalator Maintenance and Repair Apprentice for our London transport division, to work across multiple sites with various equipment types. You will learn to maintain and repair Schindler equipment alongside other manufacturers, including functional testing for safety standards.

The ideal candidate should be hardworking, determined, ambitious, passionate about learning, and eager to progress within an innovative, customer-focused company. Upon successful completion, you'll earn a NVQ Level 3 Lift Electromechanics qualification and formal mechanical/electrical engineering qualifications. If a relevant position is available, you'll be offered a role within our Field Operation teams, with opportunities for further development.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, totaling 37 hours per week. (Note: Applicants may be required to work their weekly hours over 5 consecutive nights to complete NVQ modules.)
