Job summary

JLL is offering an engineering maintenance apprenticeship at RAF Marham. You will support the design, installation and upkeep of electrical and mechanical systems in commercial buildings, while training toward a Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician dual discipline apprenticeship at the College of West Anglia.

The role includes hands-on site work, travel within the region, and development of core engineering skills within JLL's Total Facilities Management service delivery.

Qualifications

• GCSEs: minimum 5 subjects with grade 4+; Maths grade 5 required.
• Candidates should be enthusiastic about engineering and eager to develop new skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, attendance, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist multi skilled engineers with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems in commercial buildings.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret a range of building service drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Salary: £22,568K + Company Vehicle

What you will be doing

Assist multi skilled engineers with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems in commercial buildings. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment. Assist in troubleshooting faults and recommend appropriate solutions. Read and interpret a range of building service drawings, diagrams, and blueprints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Stay updated with the latest advancements in mechanical and electrical engineering and recommend process improvements.

Desired Skills, Qualities, and Experience:

Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above. A grade 5 in Maths is required for this role. Enthusiastic and passionate about a career in engineering Eager to develop new skills and knowledge in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. Good level of Attendance, self-discipline and time management. Meeting deadlines, managing multiple tasks effectively There is a minimum age requirement of 18 years old

A Full UK driving Licence is required

About the apprenticeship

You will be studying towards a Level 3 Engineering Maintenance Technician - Dual discipline Apprenticeship at College of West Anglia

• When not studying, you will work alongside our experienced team. You may be expected to travel to different sites within a geographical region. You will need to manage your time and commitments well to ensure that you are able to complete your assignments whilst delivering a highly valued role.In addition to developing your core engineering skills, you will be expected to support diverse and general maintenance activities across our facilities as part of JLL's comprehensive Total Facilities Management (TFM) service delivery. This may include routine inspections, basic repairs, equipment servicing, and assisting with preventive maintenance schedules. These responsibilities will provide valuable hands‑on experience across the full spectrum of facilities management while contributing to overall operational efficiency and will complement your technical development as you progress through the apprenticeship program
