During the Apprenticeship, you will receive training and experience in different areas within the business, starting in the workshop, on-site, reading drawings, assisting with purchasing, and more. This will provide a solid foundation and help identify your preferred area of work. IQ Engineers is committed to supporting and developing our employees, offering great opportunities. Subject to satisfactory performance, a full-time position may be available.

Day-to-Day Duties Include
  • Assisting in the assembly of mechanical water and sewage treatment equipment.
  • Checking fabrications against drawings.
  • Completing workshop job packs.
  • Assisting in stock control.
  • Arranging courier deliveries for customers.
  • Collecting and off-loading parts from suppliers.
  • Checking deliveries against purchase orders.
  • General housekeeping, maintenance, and cleaning of the work area. Knowing how to make a good cup of tea is a bonus!

The apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or training organization. At least 20% of working hours will be dedicated to training or studying. All training will take place at Derwent Training in Malton, North Yorkshire.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30.
