Job summary

MK POWER LIMITED is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our Milton Keynes team, with on-site duties and travel to support electrical installation and maintenance services across Buckinghamshire and nearby areas.

You will assist with wiring, fitting fixtures, inspecting systems, and diagnosing basic faults under supervision while progressing toward qualification through formal apprenticeship training.

Qualifications

• Prefer candidates with at least 1 year working in the Electrical industry either on site or at college.
• Candidates should possess a strong interest in electrical systems and safe working practices.
• Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills and the ability to work safely as part of a team on-site.
• Candidates should possess a full, clean UK driving license.
• Candidates should possess a willingness to undertake formal apprenticeship training; completion of relevant vocational courses or GCSEs (or equivalent) in math, science, or technology is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Apprentice Electrician role is based in Milton Keynes (although travel will be part of the role) and supports those who aspire to be qualified electricians in delivering electrical installation, maintenance services and emergency response to critical faults. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with wiring, fitting fixtures, installing electrical systems, and helping with scheduled inspections and testing. The apprentice will support maintenance and repair activities, help diagnose basic electrical faults under supervision, and learn to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics. The role involves following safety procedures, keeping tools and work areas organized, documenting work performed, and participating in ongoing training to build skills and progress toward qualification.
