What You’ll Do at Work

Embark on a thrilling journey as you install, commission, and maintain electronic systems designed to protect people, properties, and assets.

Gain in-depth knowledge about our cutting-edge systems, including fire detection, intrusion detection, CCTV, and access control solutions.

Hit the road in your own company van, visiting a variety of sites, from residential to commercial and retail locations.

Collaborate with a dedicated team, absorbing invaluable skills that will pave the way to becoming a qualified fire and security engineer.

Where You’ll Work

The apprentice will primarily cover within the Dundee, area; however, travel may also be required across the Scotland Region, depending on job requirements. This role will involve a vast amount of travel.

Training

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

What’s Next?

Once we receive the evidence of certification you will have a screening call with a recruiter to discuss the position. Afterward, you will be invited to an assessment centre, where you will participate in a practical assessment, meet the team, and have an interview.

Candidates will receive a response regarding the outcome of their application. If successful, they can expect to begin the apprenticeship with Johnson Controls in the late summer of 2025.
