Equans is looking for an Apprentice Electrical Engineer to join our team in Salford on a 48-month contract for Media City. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
General Overview:
Media City is a contract managed by EQUANS responsible for delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Critical Infrastructure Services on site for the client Media City. Services include Heating, Ventilation and Cooling, Lighting, and Power supplies to all Landlord areas. The apprentice Electrical Engineer will learn and support engineering tasks within the team across the Media City Estate. The role involves a structured apprenticeship combining college learning and practical work experience.
Impact:
The contract has grown, and we are looking to expand the team by training internally a person with the necessary specialist knowledge for the contract's long-term success.
Complexity:
This is a junior role. The apprentice will develop through the apprenticeship as they gain experience from college and on-site work at Media City. Initially guided in their work, they will progress to undertake maintenance activities independently.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
Interest in engineering and sustainable energy
Enrolled in a recognized college, working towards an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
Teamwork experience
Ability to think clearly in extreme circumstances
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
5 GCSEs A*-C, including Maths and English
Reliable and punctual
