Job summary

Busy Bees Harrow is recruiting an Early Years Apprentice to start a rewarding career in the childcare sector. You will work alongside experienced Early Years professionals, supporting daily activities and ensuring children’s learning experiences meet the EYFS standards.

You will receive dedicated mentoring, ongoing training, and opportunities for progression within Busy Bees’ national network. A supportive workplace culture and a range of childcare benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• Must be resident in the UK for at least 3 consecutive years.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade 3/D or above or Level 2 Functional Skills required.
• Desire to start a career in Early Years and commit to apprenticeship

Responsibilities

• Help plan and deliver age-appropriate activities following the EYFS framework.
• Support the team to provide high-quality childcare and positive learning experiences.
• Build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Ensure children’s individual needs are understood and met and contribute to safeguarding.
• Commence and complete Busy Bees Education and Training apprenticeship within the expected timeframe.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, curiosity and commitment to personal development.

About Our Nursery

Busy Bees Harrow, rated Good by Ofsted, accommodates 56 children and offers quality early years education from babies to preschoolers. Each child is guided and supported by our caring team, ensuring they receive the best start to their education through a wide range of exciting activities and fantastic learning opportunities. Your Responsibilities And Expectations

As an apprentice, you will:

• Help plan and deliver exciting, age-appropriate activities following the EYFS framework
• Support the team to provide high-quality childcare and positive learning experiences for all children
• Build strong, supportive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ensure children’s individual needs are understood and met
• Contribute to the safeguarding of all children
• Work proactively toward completing your apprenticeship provided by Busy Bees Education and Training within the expected timeframe
• Show enthusiasm, curiosity, and commitment to your own development

Essential Criteria

To apply, you must:

• Be passionate about childcare and motivated to start a career in Early Years
• To meet funding eligibility, you must have been a resident in the UK for at least the 3 consecutive years
• Be able to provide evidence of Maths and English achievements (GCSE Maths and English grade 3/D or above or Level 2 Functional Skills)

Desirable Criteria (not Essential)

• A Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification
