Description
About us
Our on-campus nursery offers childcare for children aged 0-5 years and is open to staff, students, and the wider University community.
Located in Endsleigh Place, at the northern edge of our city-centre campus, children are welcomed into our Caterpillars, Bumblebees, Dragonflies, and Ladybird rooms, depending on age. This allows our qualified practitioners to tailor activities to meet each child's individual needs.
About the role
Working closely with the Plymouth Institute of Education, we have designed our curriculum to develop creative, kind, independent, curious, and confident children who are ready to continue their love of learning at school.
Through successful completion of your training with City College Plymouth, and with support from the setting and Plymouth Institute of Education, you will assist in delivering our curriculum aimed at fostering kind, creative, independent, curious, and confident children ready for their next educational stage.
A full-time position will be offered to the right candidate after completing the apprenticeship, with options for further training if desired.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a fixed-term basis for up to 18 months initially, due to the training contract.
We regret that there is no opportunity to work from home in this position.

Freshlings Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All positions are subject to individuals securing enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
