Job description

What You'll Be Doing

  • Learn and develop skills to complete the design of automatic fire sprinkler systems.
  • Ensure designs meet the contract design brief and align with company standards and expectations.
  • Identify, update, and communicate design issues, such as drawing standards and non-conforming issues.
  • Gain knowledge of LPC/BS EN 12845 Sprinkler rules, NFPA, FM Global Datasheets, and perform associated hydraulic calculations to obtain LPCB Basic Design and Inspection Competence qualifications.
  • Assist in checking designs on-site to verify pipe routes and avoid clashes.
  • Use CAD and other design software to create site-specific construction drawings for on-site use.
  • Work as part of a team to commission projects from start to finish.
  • Obtain an Engineering Operative Standard Level 2 qualification.
  • Collaborate with Rochdale Training during a designated release period determined by your employer.
  • Work towards achieving a Level 2 Engineering Operative standard.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
