Job summary

Excellence Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Dental Nurse to join a friendly dental practice in Romford. This on-site role offers a rewarding entry into dentistry with an 8–15 month apprenticeship and an hourly wage starting at £8.

You will work closely with experienced staff, assist with chairside procedures, manage patient records, and participate in ongoing training to gain a national qualification.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and complete the Level 3 Dental Nurse apprenticeship.
• Commitment to working 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 8:00am–6:00pm).
• Interest in developing clinical and patient-care skills within a dental practice.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Your responsibilities may include:

Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice

Assisting the dentist during treatments (chairside support)

Preparing and organising the surgery before and after procedures

Mixing dental materials and preparing instruments

Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with charting

Booking and managing patient appointments

Sterilising and decontaminating dental instruments

Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control

Supporting radiograph processing where appropriate

Supporting day-to-day operations

Working alongside experienced staff

Participating in ongoing training and development

TRAINING

During your apprenticeship, you will:

Receive regular training from Excellence Solutions Limited

Complete at least 20% off‑the‑job training

Study the Dental Nurse Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

Gain hands‑on experience in a real working environment

Candidates may inform the employer of any additional qualifications or relevant experience, as prior learning may affect the training plan.
