Job summary

Rodericks Dental Partners offers an 18‑month government funded apprenticeship in dental nursing (City & Guilds). You will learn on the job, assisting dentists, sterilising equipment, and supporting patient care from day one.

The role includes reception duties and following practice policies to ensure excellent patient experience and compliance. Working hours are Tue–Fri 8:20–5:30 and Sat 8:20–1:00, with progression opportunities into senior roles.

Qualifications

GCSE Maths and English at minimum grade 4 desried.
Apprenticeship in dental nursing combines learning with work experience.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists and specialists in a patient-focused setting.

Ensure documentation and patient records are completed accurately.

Introduction

The apprenticeship in dental nursing is an 18-month government funded course by City & Guilds, a Level 3 Extended Diploma. Alongside your learning, your job role within the practice will include assisting dentists, sterilising & preparing equipment, reception duties and supporting patient experience.

With support from Rodericks Dental Partners' professional training and development programmes, you could further qualify as a Dental Hygienist or Dental Therapist, playing a key role in preventative and routine patient care.

There are also opportunities to specialise as an Orthodontic Therapist, working alongside clinicians to help improve the alignment and appearance of patients' teeth.
